Dipl.-Ing. Arch. Stefan Rappold

Stefan Rappold, born 1966 in Stuttgart, finished an apprenticeship as a carpenter before studying architecture at the University of Stuttgart, where he obtained his diploma in 1995. He then worked in several German practices including Behnisch & Partner before joining the Stuttgart office of Behnisch Architekten in 2000. Here Stefan Rappold was, among others, responsible for the design of the new WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) headquarter building in Geneva, which was completed in 2011; and, as a project partner, for Harvard’s Allston Science Complex in Cambridge, MA, USA. In 2011, he became a partner in the office Behnisch Architekten,  Munich, and has been heading this office, together with Robert Hösle, until the end of the year. In January 2012 he returned to the Stuttgart office, which he directs together with Stefan Behnisch and Jörg Usinger. Stefan Rappold is also a lecturer at conferences and symposia and he is a BDA member.
