Applied Colour Psychology Practitioner, Consultant & Teacher

Karen Haller is a global authority in the field of Applied Colour Psychology furthering the philosophy and practical application of human centred and biophillic design. Her work with architectural firms focusses on using these principles in the built environment to elicit positive psychological responses.

With over 20 years of experience studying and working with colour she has developed a unique ability to show corporate clients and individual designers how psychology informs design and brand identity.

Building on her business experience as a Project Manager and Business Analyst she led large scale refurbishments and refits in Australia before relocating her business to the UK.

Karen consults, trains and heads colour campaigns for prestigious global brands such as Farrow & Ball, Dove, Fiat, BASF in the US and Ascot Races. She works internationally with design professionals through her advanced colour training and mentoring programmes and CPD courses. In 2014 she was commissioned by the International School of Colour and Design, Australia to write their Colour Diploma course. She is currently teaching and mentoring Coral Paints/Dulux Ghana in applied colour psychology.

As a published author, Karen is regularly featured in local and national magazines, newspapers, radio and TV. She is a contributing author of the leading industry book Colour Design: Theories and Applications on Colour in Interiors.

As a speaker Karen shared her Colour Intuition™ system at Grand Designs LIVE and her theories during the prestigious Clerkenwell Design Week and co-curated the 2015 100% Design four days of colour talks.

Karen is a British Interior Institute of Design (BIID) Industry Partner and CPD Provider, a former trustee and committee member of the Colour Group of Great Britain and on the advisory board of the charity Color Cares™.
