Robin studied architecture at Liverpool University. He joined Foster and Partners in 1984 and whilst there, he was responsible for a range of award winning and innovative projects around the world, building up a remarkable and diverse portfolio of experience, skills and expertise. Robin joined Hamiltons Architects in 2001 driving its transformation over the next 8 years, also completing a number of award winning projects, before the opportunity presented itself to form a new practice in October 2009.

Robin Partington & Partners (RPP) is London based and enjoys working with a diverse range of clients across many sectors in the UK and abroad, with projects ranging in scale from an elegant door handle, individual residences and small office developments to large single and mixed use buildings together with masterplans that explore the opportunities for the regeneration of larger sites and major urban centres.

The practice has won the Architects Journal ‘Best Place to Work : London & South East’ twice, is listed in the ‘Sunday Times Top 100 Small Companies to Work For’ and has won numerous design awards including ‘Bentley’s 2015 Be Inspired Awards Innovation in Building’ for 1 Merchant Square, Paddington, London.

Robin has been responsible for a number of tall buildings around the world including the Torre de Collserola located on a prominent ridge within a National Park overlooking the City of Barcelona, the Commerzbank Headquarters in Frankfurt, the ARAG building in Dusseldorf, 30 St Mary Axe in the City of London (the Gherkin) and the Strata Tower in London. RPP projects include Park House in Mayfair London, 1 New Street Square in the City of London and taller buildings including 3 Merchant Square and 1 Merchant Square, a part the phased development of their masterplan currently under construction at Merchant Square in Paddington.
